Just shy of two years on the job as a Lead Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis Restoration of West Fort Worth, Texas, Gabriel arrived with the drive, ambition and pride to do as he says, “a good job on every job.” Born in Argentina and always living in the big city, Buenos Aires, Gabriel has embraced his new life in Texas fully. He starts his day early with a visit to the gym, then after a quick breakfast he’s on to the shop to gather assignments and start his work doing skilled mitigation. “Our task is to reduce the severity of whatever damage our customers’ have experienced at their home or business. Every job is special – flooding, water leak damage, fire damage, or whatever. We bring the energy and empathy to help Paul Davis customers in their serious time of need.”
A Unique Home With Long-term Memories
Being called out in the middle of the night to handle emergency water damage is a frequent occurrence for Paul Davis mitigation teams. Late one night Gabriel got the call and he and other team members arrived at a wonderful home, but with a distraught widow at wits end. Her beautiful home with exquisite rugs and furnishings had a significant water leak that she had discovered. Gabriel took a special interest in the project. “We were able to start drying immediately in an effort to save her expensive furnishings and rugs. The home and her possessions were so important to her since she was now living there alone. She appreciated our exacting work and after the job was complete and all was again put back together, she hand- wrote a long and loving letter naming every person at Paul Davis who had helped her and thanking us for making her home once again so beautuful.”Â
Gabriel was cited in 2024 as being a Difference Maker at Paul Davis. He was videotaped to share his experiences with other Paul Davis Restoration companies throughout North America. “I am lucky to be hired by Paul Davis,” says Gabriel. “I did construction and demolition in the past.
